South Lakes MP Tim Farron has called on NHS Cumbria to demand answers as £1.5m of funding for carers appears to have been spent on the wrong projects.

The handing in of the petition was also supported by a large group of carers who had travelled from all over the country to make their voice heard by the Prime Minister.
Tim Farron has welcomed agreement from the Minister for Higher Education David Lammy MP to consider allowing the University of Cumbria to increase its income by £4million a year by recruiting an additional one thousand students.
