Save Hawkshead Post Office

Following the resignation of the Postmaster, post office services in the village were withdrawn at the end of last year.

For years, the post office has been the only place where people can use banking services or withdraw cash. It is also a key community hub in the middle of the village.

The age profile of Hawkshead is older than national average, and 10 percent of the community don’t have a car and public transport is very limited.

A round trip on foot to the next nearest post office in Coniston would take well over two hours.

Post Office Ltd must do everything they can to find a way to reinstate post office services in the village.
