Repair and reopen Brigsteer and Underbarrow bridges

Westmorland and Furness Council have announced today that Brigsteer and Underbarrow Bridges will be closed from Wednesday 12th June due to serious structural concerns.

This is yet another example of everything in our country crumbling, with our local council left to literally pick up the pieces.

These closures will lead to significant delays and disruption to the lives of local residents.

The new Government must provide emergency funding to get these two bridges repaired and reopened as quickly as possible
