Local MP Tim Farron has praised Low Sizergh Barn farm shop in Kendal after the Countryside Alliance named it as one of the Best Rural Retailers in the 'Best Diversification' category. The shop, best known for its superb selection of cheeses, free range eggs and milk amongst other products is extremely popular in the local area.

Tim Farron MP joined parents and their children from Old Hutton Primary School to walk a typical and well used school run. The route, which goes from Old Hutton Primary School to Bridge End, starts along a specially built footpath in a field but ends 200 yards short of Bridge End, leaving parents and children to face a treacherous walk along a dangerous road.
Local MP, Tim Farron has today spoken in a Westminster Hall debate in parliament in protest at the government's proposals to make it more difficult to make freedom of information requests. The government's plans suggest a reduction of the level at which a Freedom of Information request can be denied on the grounds of cost, the level currently stands at £600 for request to Government departments.
