Local MP Tim Farron collected an award on behalf of the Westmorland and Lonsdale Liberal Democrat party on Saturday at the annual Liberal Democrats spring party conference in Liverpool, acknowledging the impressive increase in membership numbers over the past 12 months. Mr Farron met with the Chief Executives of the Hospital Trust, the Primary Care Trust, North West Strategic Health Authority and North West Ambulance Service.
