MP slams "reckless" deregulation of lasers

The Government should reconsider proposals to deregulate the use of lasers and Intense Pulse Light systems in clinics and beauty salons after a parliamentary question tabled by MP Tim Farron revealed that the number of injuries they had caused had increased by over 25% in the last two years.

MP supports bid for new cancer centre in south Cumbria

Local MP Tim Farron has joined with health professionals to campaign for a new cancer unit in south Cumbria. Currently patients requiring treatment for cancer have to travel to Carlisle or Preston, enduring some of the longest distances in the UK for cancer treatment.
