MP welcomes fuel duty freeze

South lakes MP Tim Farron has today welcomed the Chancellor's decision to scrap an increase in fuel duty planned for August this year.

MP's launch 'Better Connected Cumbria' campaign

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has joined with Barrow and Furness MP John Woodcock to launch 'Cumbria Better Connected', at Grange-over-Sands station last Friday. The campaign has been set up to protect the direct train from Furness and from the Lakes Line to Manchester.
