Local MP Tim Farron visited the Factory last weekend to see for himself the fantastic art and creative products on display as part of the weekend's festive program.

The Factory held an Open Studios event over the course of the weekend, showcasing the best of local art and creative businesses. The Sedbergh brass band performed Christmas favourites to add to the festive atmosphere, while other musical groups also performed throughout the weekend. Food and drink were also available from stalls as well as The Tap.

Tim said: "It was fantastic to visit the Open Studios at The Factory last weekend. This is an incredible space which has really transformed over the last few years, and provides a real boost to the local arts scene. This event was a real celebration of the creativity and talent that is nurtured and supported at this site, and is something our area can be very proud of. My thanks go to all who were involved in organising and participating in this event, as well as to the District Council for supporting it."
