MP WELCOMES NHS INVESTMENT IN NEW KENDAL GP SURGERY
Local MP Tim Farron has today welcomed the news that the go ahead has been given for a new £2.5 million GP surgery in Kendal.
The new surgery will be built on the site of the town's former St. John Boste Social Club on Gillinggate. It will provide a new home for Kendal's Captain French Lane Surgery which serves 9,000 patients and has seven GPs.
Speaking following the announcement, Tim said: "We are beginning to see more and more health services coming to Kendal - not least with new services at the Westmorland General Hospital. This surgery is another positive step in improving health services in the South Lakes and I look forward to seeing the project move forward. It is a testament to the practice and the doctors, nurses and staff for their vision and hard work."
