MP quizzed by local students
South Lakes MP Tim Farron visited Storth Primary School last week where he met with pupils from three local primary schools and discussed his role as an MP.
Tim met students from Storth CE Primary School, Arnside National Primary School and Levens CE Primary School. As part of the visit, Tim took part in a Q&A with the pupils and was asked a range of questions. He revealed that his best achievements were helping to get people housed and bringing cancer treatment to Kendal, but admitted that the worst part was being away from his family for 3 nights a week.
Tim said: "I really enjoyed my visit to Storth Primary School to meet students from Storth, Arnside and Levens, and was very impressed by the questions I was asked. The pupils had clearly thought a lot about the role of an MP and about the issues we face. These young people were a credit to themselves and their schools, and I'm sure they will go on to make a positive difference in their communities."
