MP opens care home summer fete

Local MP Tim Farron officially cut the ribbon to open the Summerhill Care Home Summer Fete on Saturday, which was organised to raise funds for Age UK.

Tim attended the event on Saturday afternoon and met with residents and their families, as well as staff and visitors.

Tim said: "It was great to go along to the Summerhill Care Home summer fete on Saturday, and to meet with people there of all ages! We were lucky with the weather and a great time was had by all who attended, while at the same time raising money for a worthy cause. I'd like to thank all the care home staff for their dedication, as well as everyone else who was involved in organising this event."
