MP launches youth survey
Local MP Tim Farron has launched a survey to gather the views of young people in the South Lakes.
The aim of the survey is to find out how young people feel about living in the South Lakes, what their priorities are and how they would like to change things.
Many young people approach Tim about a wide variety of issues, such as transport, post 16 education or wanting a new skatepark. After a long campaign led by local young people, the skatepark in Kendal was be built.
Tim has also supported campaigns to bring more investment for games areas on the estates in Kendal, as well as helping to secure £55,000 funding to replace Hallgarth play area.
Tim hopes that through the survey, more young people will be able to express their views and aspirations for the South Lakes. To take part in the survey, please click here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DLTXKBM
Tim commented: "Knowing young people's concerns and priorities will allow me to continue to campaign on the issues that matter to them. As an MP, I am able to make a difference and change things for the better in the South Lakes - but I can't do this without the help of young people! I would be really grateful if people could complete this survey and I look forward to seeing the results."
