MP KICKS OFF SUMMER TOUR
Tim Farron’s annual summer tour has been “a joy” so far, as the Cumbrian MP kicks off the first week of street surgeries travelling the length and breadth of the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency.
Tim has taken to the road, visiting twenty-three villages and towns so far.
Constituents have raised issues as varied as rural public transport, schools, second homes, NHS dentistry, and staffing shortages in the care and hospitality sectors.
Tim says: “The summer tour is my favourite part of the year. It is crucial that I’m able to hear from constituents, especially those in the most rural areas.
“It’s a real pleasure to spend time out and about, hearing about the issues facing our communities.
“From Beetham to Barbon, from Witherslack to Sedgwick, I’m so grateful to everyone who has come along so far.”
For constituents wanting to see Tim on his summer tour, the dates, times, and locations can be found on his website here. There is no need to book.
