MP joins bag packers in Windermere for St John's Hospice

20 Dec 2013
South Lakes MP Tim Farron joined volunteers to bag pack at Booths in Windermere this morning to raise funds for St John’s Hospice.

Tim recently worked with volunteers in the hospice's shop in Kendal to clean furniture to make it suitable for sale. St. John's Hospice has nine charity shops in the Lancaster, Morecambe and Kendal areas. Their shops not only provide vital income to the hospice, but also allow them to have a presence in the community that supports it.

Tim said: "It was great to join the volunteers and raise vital funds for St John's Hospice, like St John's make a massive difference. They offer amazing care which is compassionate and of highest quality. I regularly lobby Government ministers to do more to support local hospices and I was pleased to support them today."
