MP encourages mums-to-be to attend Helme Chase Open Day

South Lakes MP Tim Farron is encouraging local mums-to-be to attend an open day at the Helme Chase maternity unit in Kendal.

The open day will take place on Saturday 2nd December from 10am to 4pm and will be an opportunity for people to see the facilities and services at Helme Chase, including water birth, aromatherapy, hypnobirthing, and safe active birth.

There will be refreshments and time to talk with members of the maternity team about the opportunities for mums-to-be to be supported throughout their pregnancy and birth at the facility.

Tim said: "Despite the changes to the services, the maternity ward at Helme Chase remains a fantastic, safe, facility, with incredible staff who take great care of all mothers who give birth there.

"The experience of mothers and babies at the ward is second to none in terms of personal care.

"I would encourage local mums-to-be to see this great facility for themselves by coming along to the open day on Saturday."
