Tim Farron backs residents over Bowness electricity blackouts.

For the last few days, many homes and businesses and the surrounding area have been dealing with frequent electricity blackouts.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron is calling for urgent action to deal with the issue and make sure that the blackouts end as soon as possible.

This isn't the first time Bowness has been affected by these blackouts - last year a similar thing happened over a period of a couple of weeks. After resident complaints Tim stepped in and solved the issue.

Again, Tim is getting involved and as well as trying to solve the problem, he is now also calling for a review of local cables to see if there is an underlying problem in Bowness.

Commenting Tim said: "Local residents are being subject to a substandard service and that is unacceptable. How can you run a businesses with intermittent blackouts. It is totally impossible. I am taking the matter up now with the authorities and asking them to step in to deal with the issue. I think there is an underlying problem and I am asking them to urgently look into this."
