Heron Corn Mill - Easter Energy Festival

Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron today attended the Easter Energy Festival at Heron Corn Mill in Beetham.

The event had indoor and outdoor activities for visitors of all ages, on the themes of Easter and Energy. Activities included edible chocolate experiments, constructing paper windmills, exploring a Minecraft Energy World, and an Easter Energy Egg Hunt.

Easter Energy is the first public event from EnergyUnearthed, who are working towards a world‐first International Festival of Energy and Climate Change to take place across Cumbria next year. Heron Corn Mill is one of the country's few remaining working historic watermills.

Tim said: "The Easter Energy event was a great success, with fun and interesting activities for all the family. The event was a great way for young people to learn more about science and engineering, linking issues about energy with Easter. A good time was had by all who attended, helped by the good weather! I look forward to seeing their plans for future events across Cumbria."
