South Lakes MP Tim Farron will be one of those debating the burning issues of the day on the BBC's flagship current affairs television programme Question Time next Thursday.

Tim will be appearing with Caroline Flint MP, Grant Shapps MP, and journalist Janet Street Porter on the panel, which is chaired by David Dimbleby.

The debate will be broadcast on BBC1 from Liverpool at 10.30pm.

Tim said: "I'm really looking forward to going on Question Time. Fielding questions from the audience means you get lively and spontaneous debate. I look forward to talking about the issues that people raise and will be working hard to give as many plugs to the South Lakes as possible!"
