Tim Farron MP has announced the long-awaited results of his annual Christmas card competition. He presented the first prize to Joe Tully, aged 7, at Crosscrake Primary School this morning.

Joe's design has been made into a Christmas card which is being delivered to 40,000 homes across the South Lakes. Runner up prizes went to Sally Harrison of Windermere CofE Primary school, Jamie Dwan of Windermere Preparatory School, and to Finlay Lawson and Laura Haggin both of Heron Hill School, Kendal.

All of the winners and runners up will be receiving book tokens.

Speaking after the prize giving, Tim said: "I had great fun choosing our winners this year, and the decision was not an easy one.

"The presentation this morning was a really enjoyable way to end my week; Joe's design has made a brilliant Christmas card.

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the pupils who took part and wish all of them a very Merry Christmas!"
