Lib Dem council open Kendal play park up to the public

A play park in Kendal is now opened up to the general public thanks to the local Lib Dem council.
Town View Fields play area, located in the corner of Nobles Rest, was only accessible for children at the hostel by the park.
But in response to requests from local councillors, and community groups - the Fellside Forum and Friend's of Nobles Rest - the council have just announced the opening to the public of the play area in the corner of Nobles Rest.
Local councillor Phil Dixon said: "It's great news that this play area will be now be available to use for all families.
"I want to say a massive thanks to everyone at the Fellside Forum and the Friend's of Nobles Rest that have pushed to make this happen."
