Kirkby Stephen, Prospective Candidate Adrian Waite
Adrian Waite plans to stand for Kirkby Stephen for the Cumbria County Council elections in May 2021.
Adrian has lived in Cumbria since 1993 and is married with three children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he likes to enjoy the Cumbrian countryside, study history and follow Carlisle United.
Since 1998, he and his wife have run a small ethical management consultancy and training business in Appleby (AWICS Limited), helping housing associations and local authorities across Britain to operate more effectively. Before that he worked in local government, most recently as Strategic Director at Copeland Council. Until 2015, he was Chair of Impact Housing Association. He therefore understands the challenges faced by small businesses as well as the challenges faced by local authorities and housing associations.
