Kendal & Kirkby Lonsdale named as amongst best places to live in Britain

Local MP Tim Farron has welcomed the news that Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale have has been named as two of the hundred and one best places to bring up a live in Britain.

The list has been put together as part of a '101 Best Places to Live in Britain' supplement which will be released with The Sunday Times this weekend.

The places were chosen based on how they benefit the widest number of people. The factors considered ranged from positive community spirit, to good shops and attractive outdoor spaces.

Tim said: "This is great news! Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal are like many communities in South Lakeland - wonderful places to live and bring up a family. We are lucky to have great schools, local amenities, a wonderful landscape and a fantastic sense of community. Our campaign is to build on this and keep fighting for more well paid jobs and more affordable homes."
