South Lakes MP Tim Farron and Culture Chief councillor Chris Hogg have both praised Kendal Food festival, held in the town last weekend.

The event, now in its 6th year, was an exciting two day celebration of all things food and drink. The event had a full timetable of demonstrations, talks and tutored tastings from some best chefs in the UK.

Tim said: "This year's Food Festival was the best one ever and Kendal town centre was buzzing with people. I want to thank all those who worked so hard to put the event on."

Cllr Chris Hogg, South Lakeland District Council's Portfolio Holder for Culture, Arts and Events added: "It was great to see the streets of Kendal full of shoppers. The demonstrations and talks were excellent too."
