Local parks in Kendal have received a funding boost thanks to local Lib Dem councillors.

Helen Ladhams, Eamonn Hennessey and Rachael Hogg, who all represent the Kendal East Ward on South Lakeland District Council, have used their locality budget to invest in £1,500 worth of new play equipment on the Castle Estate play area.

In addition, the councillors have also invested £500 into planting new trees and other improvements at Fletcher Park.

Helen said: "We're delighted to be able to help out - this is part of a massive investment by the Liberal Democrats in play areas across Kendal, updating old and tired equipment."
