Forward Diary - 18 to 24 June 2007
Starting his week in Westminster on Monday Tim will be attending the inaugural meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Dementia where he will have the opportunity to meet with people from the constituency who have an interest in this area.
On Tuesday Tim will be taking part in a National Prayer Breakfast in Westminster Hall. Later in the day Tim, as part of the Environmental Audit Committee, will be questioning representatives from the Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment (CSERGE) and E3G on the Structure and Operation of Government and the Challenge of Climate Change.
On Wednesday Tim will be attending Prime Minister's Question Time with Sir Menzies Campbell. Later in the afternoon Tim will be attending an Ofcom and Digital Dividend meeting which will be focusing on the imminent digital switchover.
On Thursday, Tim will delay returning to his constituency in order to attend DEFRA questions in the House, and will hope to question the Minister on hill farming in his role as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Hill Farming.
Back in the constituency later on Thursday Tim will be taking part in a meeting for Lib Dem members with guest speaker Chris Davies MEP.
On Friday Tim will the guest speaker at a Windermere Chamber of Trade breakfast meeting, speaking on the subject of the Sustainable Communities Bill. He will then spend the morning volunteering in the British Heart Foundation shop in Highgate, Kendal.
In the afternoon, Tim will be presenting volunteer certificates at Queen Katherine School in Kendal. He will then be holding his regular advice surgery at the Sedbergh Community Offices from 4pm to 5pm. In the evening, Tim will be taking part in a Christian Call to Prayer at the Broughton Methodist Church.
On Saturday, Tim will spend the morning helping out at Oldfield House B&B in Windermere to find out for himself some of the issues facing the tourism industry locally. In the afternoon, Tim will be formally opening the Lindale Village Conference. The event is a chance for people to discover what progress has been made in the community plan for Lindale, High Newton and Low Newton. In the evening, Tim will be speaking at a Friends of Manna House event in Kendal.
