Forward Diary - 14 to 19 July 2008

Monday 14th July:

Tim will begin his week on Monday in his constituency office. For the duration of the day, he will be dealing with various issues raised both during his local advice surgeries and through his postbag.

Tuesday 15th July:

On Tuesday Tim will attend the Health and Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee Witness Session for the Acute Medical Services Review. Following this, he will travel to Westminster to participate in the 'Slum Survivor' event at Westminster Abbey where he will be staying in a shelter overnight to raise awareness about global poverty.

Wednesday 16th July:

Tim will begin Wednesday at Westminster Abbey, participating in 'Slum Survivor'. He will then go to the House of Commons for Prime Minister's Questions, after which he will attend a DEFRA Team Meeting to discuss topical issues, and a meeting in support of the Freedom for Tibet campaign. Tim will finish the day with a meeting of the Natural Environment Consultation Session to discuss how the proposed Bill is to be drafted.

Thursday 17th July:

On Thursday Tim will be attending a Parliamentary Party Away Day in Henley to discuss party issues and the progression of the party for the forthcoming year.

Friday 18th July:

On Friday Tim will continue with the Parliamentary Party Away Day in Henley.

Saturday 19th July:

On Saturday Tim will be back in the constituency, where he will meet with local councillors to discuss various topical issues including affordable housing, hospitals and post offices. He will then attend an event entitled "Many Faces Different Spaces" at the YMCA in Lakeside, Ulverston to support the work of the European Youth Parliament.
