First Draw of the Gold Club

2 Sep 2020
Gold Club 1st draw

Undaunted by virtual meetings the Gold Club made its first draw over zoom with the Chairman of the Club committee, Roger Dobson, keeping a watchful if distant eye on the Treasurer, Andy Baker, organising the draw. It was back to the usual paper tickets drawn from a wooden bowl, as a suitable high-tech but scrupulously impartial system was not available at short notice.

The winning tickets were 1st - 17, 2nd - 9 and 3rd - 2 and the Treasurer will be in touch with the lucky winners to hand over their share of the pot. Not particularly large on this first occasion as several members did not pay in time to get into the August draw but the only way is up!

All money raised goes to the Penrith and the Border LibDems to help finance our local election campaigns. And it must be worth £5 a month to help present an alternative to the Conservative view of how life should be. Democracy is a system to be cherished!

Any member of the LibDems can become a member of the Gold Club, just email andy@baker6.org.uk to request an enrolment form.
