South Lakes MP Tim Farron has welcomed the news that Cumbria Police is sending a senior officer to Greece to help with the search for a missing Kendal man.

Roger Bainbridge disappeared after getting on a ferry to the tiny island of Anti-Paxos last week. Since then Tim has been speaking with the Foreign Office and the Police, urging them to do more to help find Roger.

Tim said: "This is something that Iain and the family asked for and I have tried to support them and make sure that UK Police, Foreign Office and the Greek authorities are doing all they can to find Roger. I will keep doing everything I can to help."
