South Lakes MP Tim Farron yesterday visited Langdale C of E Primary School, where he was quizzed by pupils on a wide range of issues, from the Loch Ness Monster through to the recent elections.

Tim spoke to the pupils about his job as the area's MP, before doing a Q&A and discussion with the pupils.

Tim said: "I really enjoyed my visit to Langdale C of E Primary School. We discussed everything from the Loch Ness Monster and space travel, through to the challenges facing rural schools and my work as an MP.

"Throughout our discussion, the pupils' knowledge and enthusiasm was massively impressive and they asked thoughtful questions. The pupils showed they are interested in the world around them and care about their communities - they were a credit to themselves and to their school."
