Farron praises NHS staff for rating upgrade

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has praised NHS staff, following the news that community health services for children, young people and families in Cumbria have had their rating upgraded from inadequate to good.

The services are provided by the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and were inspected by the Care Quality Commission in January. The services received an overall rating of 'good'. The inspection found that all aspects of the services should be rated 'good', reporting that the services provided are safe, caring and effective.

Tim said: "This improvement is a tribute to the care and dedication of our hardworking NHS staff. This has been a difficult time for our NHS, which have faced cuts and uncertainty, but the efforts of staff have turned around the fortunes of these vital services. This news will be welcomed by local people, and will make a real difference to those who rely on these services."
