Farron invites new Defra minister to Cumbria

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has written to the new Defra minister, Dan Rogerson MP, today inviting him to come to Cumbria and meet with farmers and businesses to talk about the rural economy.

Dan Rogerson, the MP for North Cornwall, is a rural MP and Tim has invited him to Cumbria to talk to Cumbrian farmers and to see the issues that they face from day to day.

Commenting, Tim said: "I have today invited Dan to come to Cumbria and see first hand the fantastic work of local farmers. I want them to understand the commitment of our farming community and understand the importance of preserving Cumbria's living landscape."
