In advance of the Google 'Juice Bar' on Friday, South Lakes MP Tim Farron has said that the event should make a 'massive difference for local businesses'.

Google has combined forces with Tim and is working with Invest in South Lakeland to bring an exciting digital programme to local businesses.

The programme, known as the Google Juice Bar, will be held on Friday 29 November at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal from 10am to 12.30pm. It is part of Google's national drive to help businesses owners harness new e-skills. So far, over 250,000 UK businesses have been helped through this initiative. This is an exciting opportunity for South Lakeland businesses to get involved and receive key advice.

The Google Juice Bar has been designed to support and advise businesses from across a wide spectrum. The event will appeal to those starting out and creating their first website, through to businesses wishing to improve their existing website and online marketing. There will be additional breakout sessions throughout the morning, delivering advice on website management, social media and Google AdWords.

Tim said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our local businesses. The Google Juice programme will allow them to get important advice from the Internet giant Google which will in turn benefit their online presence and could make them more successful.

"This could make a massive difference for local business and I know that Friday will be a fantastic day. I'm delighted that we were able to bring Google to Kendal."
