Elections in Westmorland and Lonsdale are a close fight between the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives

At the upcoming General Election, boundary changes mean that our area will become part of the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency.

The last two elections in Westmorland have been on a knife edge between Tim Farron and the Conservatives, with majorities of just 777 and 1,934. And the contest for who will be our MP after this year’s General Election looks set to be closer than ever before.

There are two choices here in the General Election. Either we will get a Conservative MP who will toe the party line. Or we will have Tim Farron, an independent-minded MP with a long track record of fighting for communities in Cumbria and getting things done.
