South Lakes MP Tim Farron visited Milnthorpe Primary School yesterday to speak to Year 6 pupils about his work as an MP.

Tim discussed how politics works with the pupils, and took questions on a wide range of topics.

Tim said: "I had a great time at Milnthorpe Primary - the pupils were keen to ask questions and had obviously thought about how politics affects our community. We discussed issues such as affordable housing, and the impact of Brexit on Cumbria. Aside from politics, the students also quizzed me about my predictions for Euro 2016, and my favourite football players - Noel Brotherston and Jose Luis Chilavert!"
