Supreme Court decision gives welcome relief to local businesses – MP

Commenting on today's news that a Supreme Court ruling is set to force insurers to pay out on disputed coronavirus claims, local MP Tim Farron said: "It's almost a year since my office was inundated with desperate local businesses who were being thrown to the wolves by insurance companies refusing to pay out.
"It was one of the biggest scandals of this entire crisis that the Government failed to do their duty and let wealthy insurance companies get off scot-free whilst local small businesses were hung out to dry.
"So I massively welcome this decision from the Supreme Court and hope that these businesses will now get the pay-outs that they deserve."
