Tim joins county councillor Jo Stephenson to welcome the grant for Windermere tennis club from Sport England

On Friday, Tim was in Windermere with County Councillor Jo Stephenson and local tennis players for the presentation of the £28,000 grant given by Sport England.

The money which comes from the Places People Play, Sport England's Olympic and Paralympic legacy fund, aims to bring the inspiration of the 2012 Games to every community in England.

Commenting Tim said: "It is fantastic to see the cheque presented to the tennis club, it's a very welcome sum of money and it will go a very long way in helping to boost participation in sport locally. The presentation also allowed me to chat to the local tennis players and see just how passionate they are about the sport. The funds will be of particular benefit to young players - bringing in young people who may never have even played the game. All of us are very excited for what the future holds for Windermere Lawn Tennis Club."
