Tim has joined with the Government and industry to urge businesses to apply for a share of £200 million from the Regional Growth Fund, which opened for new applications yesterday.

The Government is already investing £460 million from the first five rounds of the Regional Growth Fund in the North West, which is supporting 84 projects and programmes across the region, to create and safeguard thousands of jobs and stimulate £2.5 billion of private sector investment.

To make a programme bid businesses need to complete the 2-part Regional Growth Fund Programme Application Form. The form can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/regional-growth-fund-programme-application-form. For more information concerning live RGF programmes, you can email the RGF team: growthfund@bis.gsi.gov.uk

Tim said: "The Regional Growth Fund could help unlock government funding to safeguard jobs or help a business expand. If you think you could bid, I am saying - please do!

"The Regional Growth Fund is an important part of our campaign to bring well more paid jobs and investment to South Lakeland. Over 1000 jobs have been created or safeguarded thanks to the funding we have received. I hope that lots of businesses will look at bidding in round six, so we can build on our successes."
