MP to take on Coniston 15k Trail Run to raise money for South Lakes carers support

This weekend local MP Tim Farron will don his running shoes and take part in the Coniston 15k Trail Run to raise money for Carers Support South Lakeland.

Tim said: "In South Lakeland there are around 12,000 unpaid carers who look after their loved ones all year round.

"I'd be delighted if you could sponsor me so Carers Support South Lakeland can carry on supporting our amazing local carers.

"The Coniston Trail Run will be a stern test but I'll have my performance enhancing substances in the form of Kendal Mint Cake to get me through it!"
