MP's Half Marathon raises cash for Hospice Angels campaign
Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron has raised over £500 for a local hospice charity by running the Great Langdale Half Marathon on Saturday.
Tim ran the Great Langdale Half Marathon on Saturday, which is described on the website as "extremely hilly". Tim completed the race in a time of 2 hours 10 minutes.
So far, Tim has raised £480 for the Westmorland Gazette's 'Hospice Angels' campaign, which aims to fund a hospice at home nurse for the area. St John's Hospice provides palliative care across the South Lakes area.

Tim said: "My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who has donated to this campaign. The race was tough, but it has been fantastic to see how many people have donated to this worthy cause. St John's Hospice provides an invaluable service across South Lakeland, and they rely on donations from the public to do their work.
"I'd like to thank the Gazette for setting up this campaign, and all the generous local people who have supported it."
