South Lakes MP Tim Farron was quizzed by the student council during a visit to Vicarage Park Primary School in Kendal.

Tim visited the school and took part in an assembly, and was quizzed by the student council on everything from how he spends Christmas though to the details of his work as an MP. The school's student council is made up of one male and one female pupil from each year group.

Tim said: "I enjoyed visiting Vicarage Park Primary School. The pupils asked thoughtful questions, both about me and about my role representing them in parliament. I was also interested to learn about the projects the pupils are working on, particularly their work about space exploration. I was impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge of the topic."
