MP Opens New Accommodation For Hotel Staff

Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron has today cut the ribbon to officially open a new staff accommodation block at the Langdale Chase Hotel.

The new block, built over the last year at a cost of £1million, will house around 25 hotel staff. The building contains a mixture of individual bedrooms and apartments.

Tim said: "This is a fantastic move by the Langdale Chase Hotel. This is one of the most beautiful parts of the country, but the result of this is that there is real pressure on affordable housing in the area. The decision to build this new block for staff will help to relieve this pressure and give employees a great place to live right on-site. It is great to see employers pro-actively working to help tackle the housing crisis and provide accommodation for staff. The block provides good quality accommodation in a beautiful location, and I'm sure will be very popular with staff."
