MP launches online thank you card for NHS and care staff in Morecambe Bay

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has today launched an online card to give local residents the opportunity to thank those working in the NHS and social care in Morecambe Bay during the COVID-19 pandemic.

People can sign the online thank you card and write messages of thanks and support by going here.

Tim said: "Those working to care for us and save lives in our local NHS and social care are absolute heroes.

"But as they try to cope with rising numbers of people being admitted to hospital with COVID-19, staff morale is understandably at an all-time low.

"We know that the best way to thank them is to pay them better (which we should) and to obey the rules so that we reduce the terrible pressure they are under.

"But our online thank you card gives us the opportunity to tell them how much we admire them and remind them that we are so utterly grateful for everything they are doing.

"So whether you'd like to say thank you to an individual member of staff for the care they gave you or a loved one, or just to thank the NHS as a whole, please do sign the card today."
