MP launches local mental health survey

21 Dec 2020

This morning, local MP Tim Farron has launched an online mental health survey for residents' living in South Lakeland.

The survey will look to find out how the COVID-19 crisis has impacted people's mental health and to seek resident's experiences with local mental health services.

The mental health ward at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal, the Kentmere Unit, has been closed throughout the pandemic.

Tim said: "This has been such a tough year for so many - lives lost, relationships broken, businesses and jobs gone,

"This has all led to a worrying and significant rise in people coming to my regular advice surgeries with mental health issues.

"By taking part in this survey, you can help me gain a clearer understanding of the scale of these problems throughout our community and give me the ammunition to fight for better mental health services for everyone."
