MP encourages applications to apprenticeship challenge

9 Dec 2016

With just one week to go until the deadline, South Lakeland MP Tim Farron is encouraging local employers to enter teams for the Brathay Apprentice Challenge 2017.

The Brathay Trust, based in Ambleside, runs an annual challenge to find the apprentice team of the year, with applications from across the country.

Teams of nine apprentices can be from a single employer, a group of small businesses, an industry, supply chain or training provider. There is not a limit to the number of teams that can be entered per organisation or group.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Friday 16th December.

Tim said: "The Brathay Apprentice Challenge is a fun way for apprentices to showcase their skills and teamwork. I would strongly encourage local businesses to consider entering a team. Employers would benefit not just from the added publicity, but also from the skills their apprentices develop through taking part."
