On Saturday, local MP Tim Farron joined parents, staff and students from Storth Primary School for 8 miles of their 'Edgelands Run'.

The run, which started from Fleetwood and ended at Walney Island, is part of the campaign to raise money for a new classroom at the school which has doubled in size over the last five years.

The school has raised almost £2,000 of the £4,000 needed for the new classroom. Donations can be made via their JustGiving page here: https://justgiving.com/crowdfunding/theedgelandsrun

Tim said: "It was great to join parents and teachers for a small section of the Edgelands Run.

"I'm in absolute awe of those who ran ludicrous distances and I hope they've had a well-earned rest this week!"
