Today, local MP Tim Farron has launched his annual Christmas Card competition, which invites children at local primary schools across his constituency to design the front cover of Tim's card that he sends to 40,000 constituents.

The closing date for the entries is 25th October, and then a panel of judges will have the difficult job of choosing the winning entries.

Tim said: "I am looking forward to seeing the many fantastic entries that I am sure we will get from all the schools that are involved this year.

''I am sure that the judges are going to have a very hard job making this decision. I look forward to receiving the entries over the next few weeks.''
