Sedbergh Primary School visit to parliament

Local MP Tim Farron last week met with pupils from Sedbergh Primary School while they were on a visit to the Houses of Parliament.

The pupils had a tour of the House of Commons, before meeting with Tim for a Q&A session about how parliament works and Tim's role as an MP.

Tim said: "I really enjoyed meeting pupils from Sedbergh Primary School during their trip to Parliament. They asked good questions and were clearly interested in finding out more about democracy and about the job that MPs do. Westminster can sometimes seem a long way from Westmorland, so I hope their visit helped to make real the connection between what happens in parliament and what happens to us up here in South Lakeland."
