CUMBRIAN MP ATTENDS LAKES HOSPITALITY TRADE SHOW
Yesterday, Tim Farron MP attended the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show; an event displaying the best that the Lakes has to offer in the hospitality industry.
This was the event's 46th year of running as Cumbria's original trade show with all profits being re-directed into promoting the county's hospitality sector. The show allows both local and national businesses to showcase themselves with over 150 vendors in attendance.
Speaking afterwards, Tim said: "I had a brilliant time at the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show.
"The hospitality industry has been battling crisis after crisis with the COVID-19 pandemic, the staffing crisis, and now the astronomical price of energy bills. Some of the personal stories I heard spoke of just how hard the last few years have been for our local hospitality industry.
"It was heartening to see how our local businesses have battled through these hard times. The Lake District has much to offer, and it is so inspiring to know that they are out there representing the excellent produce and service we are so well known for."
