Christmas party held for children with special needs

South Lakes MP Tim Farron attended a Christmas Party for children with special needs on Saturday.

Children with a variety of conditions ranging from autism through to severe disabilities attended the event, which was organised by a group called 'Special Needs Parents South Lakes'.

Tim said: "It was great to attend this Christmas Party and to meet the young people - I particularly enjoyed taking part in a game of musical statues. The group provides a wonderful way for young people to socialise and have fun together. My thanks go to Francesca Mcminn, the founder of the Special Needs Parents South Lakes group, as well as to all others involved in the group."
