Sedbergh Pupil Wins Christmas Card Competition
Elsie Woof, a Sedbergh Primary School student, has won 1st Prize in Tim Farron's Christmas Card Competition.
Elsie Woof, aged 5, was one of hundreds of students from across South Lakeland who submitted a design for Tim's competition. Elsie's winning design will now be reproduced over 40,000 times, and will be delivered to every household in the constituency.
Ebony McMahon-Ridding (aged 9) of Flookburgh CofE Primary School came second in the competition, whilst third place went to Leo Grundy (aged 10) of Heron Hill Primary School.
Tim said: "Elsie did fantastically well. She is clearly a talented artist and ultimately I am delighted to say that she has won 1st place. Residents across South Lakeland will have the chance to admire her design when it's delivered through their door.
"My thanks and congratulations also go to all the other students who entered the competition. It was very difficult to choose because each year there are more entries to the competition and the standard just keeps going up."
